Wallace & Gromit sign up for cracking cruises this year on new P&O ship

CRACKING idea, Gromit! Family favourite kids’ characters Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep are going to be all at sea.

Creators Aardman have sealed a deal with P&O Cruises to appear on the line’s newest supership Iona.

Not only will they make special character appearances on cruises but they’ll also inspire family fun activities.

Children in The Reef clubs onboard will be able to participate in themed dance classes and craft workshops where they can make Gromit ears or Shaun the Sheep masks.

All the family can then come together to enjoy screenings of the Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep films in the cinema, or have photos taken with eccentric inventor Wallace and his loyal four-legged friend Gromit.

P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow says: “It’s not easy finding a holiday that caters to everyone’s needs and when you’re travelling with children, your happiness is linked to theirs.

“This new partnership with Aardman will further enhance our wide range of choice and flexibility for families allowing everyone to have the time of their lives whilst relaxing, recharging, making memories and spending quality time together.”

Kayaking on an Iona fjords excursion

All Aardman activities are included in the cost of the holiday. As an example, a seven-night fjords cruise on Iona, leaving on August 6, 2022, is from £699 per adult, £599 per child and £49 per infant for an inside cabin.

The price includes kids’ clubs, full board meals and entertainment. Departing from, and returning to, Southampton, ports of call are Stavanger, Olden, Geiranger and Haugesund. Visit www.pocruises.com or see a trusted travel agent.
