Saturday Snapshot: Chicago


COME on in, the water’s lovely! I liked this shot out over the Chicago waterfront taken back in 2008 from the observation deck of the John Hancock Center.

The iconic 100-story Hancock building stands 1,128-foot and offers sensational views all over the Windy City, but my eye was caught by the bright blue of a rooftop pool.

It was just one stop on a memorable visit to see Tina Turner in concert at the giant United Center and although she was great, it was the city itself that has left a lasting impression on me.

You can see the John Hancock Center in the middle of the picture below, taken on the same day, its dark tower and white aerials dominating the waterfront.
