AFTER a week of glorious sunshine on Loch Long, the weather began to change on Friday, and clouds stealthily shrouded the tree-covered slopes that paint the perfect backdrop.

We’d been enjoying a family break in a lochside lodge at Ardgartan, surrounded by stunning Scottish scenery. We’d walked, taken canoes out on the loch, toured the region and enjoyed a sea cruise from Oban.

But sometimes just a small shift in the weather made for magical moments. Scotland is one of my favourite countries to visit at any time of year and never disappoints. I’ll be back before long.
