YOU know the feeling. You’re just back home after a holiday abroad and you’re singing its praises to friends and family. Sometimes it can be a bit much, and workmates wish you’d change your tune.
Well, specialist holiday company Sing Eat Retreat may well hit the right notes. They offer fully immersive musical theatre retreats in Spain, Austria and Greece, where you can stretch your vocal cords.

A week-long break combines professional West End training with a luxury holiday at private villas in Tarifa, Spain, amid the hills of The Sound of Music‘s Salzburg, and on the sun-soaked shores of Greek hotspot Zante.
Each week focuses on a different theme, ranging from iconic rock anthems and golden age classics to ensemble singing, retro favourites, and even Stephen Sondheim’s intricate genius.

Experienced tutors include West End names such as Seve Moss, Leigh Stanford Thompson, Katherine Hare, Mark Hedges, CJ Johnson, Katy Hanna, and Pippa Duffy, and opera’s Stephen Anthony Brown.
Between them, they’ve worked on big productions including Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Sunset Boulevard, We Will Rock You, American Idiot and more, and at the D’Oyly Carte Opera.

Each retreat offers more than 30 hours of tuition, and numbers are limited to ensure personal attention. The villa holidays are all-inclusive and promise “world-class” dining.
“The response from people who come on these retreats is often overwhelming, in the best way,” says co-creator Zane Rambaran. “Many arrive simply wanting to sing, and leave feeling transformed. The sense of connection, the emotional release, the laughter, the tears – it’s powerful.

“We’ve been lucky to work with some of the most generous, gifted collaborators in the business, and the combination of professional support and personal growth is what makes this experience so unique.”
There are still limited spaces available this year, followed by a full 2026 programme, although some of next year’s sessions have already started to sell out. See www.singeatretreat.com for the full line-up.
