
SHE is the Emmy Award-winning star of Ted Lasso, headliner of her own lavish TV special, and in demand on stage and screen. Now, Hannah Waddingham is the new face of The Love Boat.
The musical theatre powerhouse is setting sail with Princess Cruises in Love Boat by Hannah, a sparkling new ad campaign making its live TV debut in the UK on Valentine’s Day.
In the short film, Hannah breathes new life into one of television’s most iconic theme songs, and is seen living the high life on board the cruise line’s Sun Princess flagship.



She is seen arriving in the ship’s atrium, singing on her stateroom balcony, enjoying a massage, visiting a late-night bar, chatting with passengers on deck, and setting off a champagne fountain.



It’s a nice nod to Princess Cruises’ history with ABC’s The Love Boat romantic adventure show which ran from 1977 to 1986, and was largely filmed on the line’s Pacific Princess.

The Valentine’s Day launch celebrates the line’s reputation for romance, an accolade recently recognised by Cruise Critic’s 2024 Editor’s Picks, which named the brand ‘Best for Romance’.
Sun Princess at sea
Hannah was named Godmother of Sun Princess when the ship was added to the fleet last year, a title previously bestowed on the likes of Princess Diana, Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Loren.
