MOVE over Aerosmith, there’s a new rock and roll animal in town at Walt Disney World. He’s loud, unpredictable and the craziest drummer since Keith Moon.
Oh, and yes, he’s bringing the rest of the band with him.
Disney has announced that Steven Tyler & Co are to be replaced by … The Muppets. Coming soon in the Walk This Way band’s place will be Doctor Teeth & The Electric Mayhem.

Animal and the band, together with Kermit, Miss Piggy and their pals will be taking over an iconic rollercoaster that’s long been one of my favourite theme park thrill rides.
The Rock’n’Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith in the Hollywood Studios area of the Orlando park will be rethemed to feature Jim Henson’s manic Muppets.

Expect new music from The Electric Mayhem, with Dr. Teeth on vocals and keyboards, Animal on drums, bassist Floyd Pepper, lead guitarist Janice, sax player Zoot and Lips on trumpet.
There could be surprises, too. Disney says: “The Muppets will be taking over Rock‘n’Roller Coaster, teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival!”
It will be the first Disney ride ever to feature The Muppets. No opening date has been announced yet, but Aerosmith’s days are numbered – so if you want to ride their way, don’t delay!

It’s not the first time Aerosmith have been stood down. Their ride of the same name at Disneyland Paris closed in September 2019, to re-open in 2022 as Avengers Assemble: Flight Force.
In real life, the legendary band confirmed their retirement from touring in August this year after it became apparent that frontman Steven Tyler struggled to recover from a larynx injury.
