OASIS icon Noel Gallagher is the focus of an exclusive new photographic exhibition that has launched this week in London, as guitar maker Gibson celebrates 130 years in the business.
Under the banner A New World Blazing, the exhibition, which opened yesterday, features new and unseen images of Gallagher’s High Flying Birds shot by renowned sport and rock photographer Sharon Latham.

It will run for six months at the Gibson Garage London, the company’s flagship UK store in Eastgate Street, and is curated by RedHouse Originals Gallery.

Photographer Sharon was the first woman to be an official Premier League club photographer, beginning her tenure in 2010 with Manchester City FC.

Having previously photographed Oasis at Knebworth, Maine Road and the Etihad Stadium, it was also at Manchester City that she re-connected with Gallagher.

“The first interview that Pep Guardiola ever did was with Noel, and that was my last shoot before I left the club,” she recalls. “I put my foot in the water and asked to go on a few gigs with Noel on tour.

“When the 2016 tour started, I asked if I could shoot a couple of gigs, he said ‘Yeah, come to America’. I was only supposed to be there for two weeks, and it turned into five years.”

The creative relationship Latham formed with Gallagher inspired A New World Blazing, which documents live performances as well as rare and intimate glimpses behind the scenes.

A New World Blazing runs at the Gibson Gallery, inside the Gibson Garage London at 61-62 Eastcastle Street, London, W1W 8NQ for six months, and is open seven days a week.
