THE Dark Arts just got darker at Hogwarts – with two nights of adults-only Halloween studio tours designed to conjure up thrills and chills unsuitable for young children.
Special Nox nights at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London on October 30 and 31 will be open to over-16s only, with £150-a-head tickets going on sale at 10am this Thursday, September 12.

There’ll be three timed admission slots each evening of the event, with tickets strictly limited to 150 each window to enhance exclusivity and avoid crowding.
It’s part of the Discover The Dark Arts season, which runs at the attraction, near Watford, from September 13 to November 10 – but Studio Tour bosses promise extra thrills as night falls.

Guests will begin their evening as Hogwarts is plunged into darkness, and enjoy steaming cocktails (or cocktails) in the Great Hall under a ceiling full of Jack-o-Lantern pumpkins.
But beware because Lord Voldemort’s devoted Death Eaters are about to crash the party, bringing masked menace to the celebration, and on the lookout for hapless troublemakers.

Throughout the tour – you can read about my visit earlier this year here – there’ll be trick-or-treat stations with sweet treats on offer, but it’d be wise not to forget the trickier side of things.
The Forbidden Forest, a spooky and spidery place on the regular daytime tour, will be even gloomier than usual, the winding path lit only by lanterns. And did I mention there’ll be Dementors?

“Dementors will be floating in the Forbidden Forest which will move towards visitors passing through the area,” the Tour warns. “If you wish to avoid this, please speak to a team member who will be happy to show you an alternative route.”
Highlight for many is likely to be an “epic and immersive”showdown between the forces of good and evil on the Studio Backlot, usually a peaceful place in which to take a break during the day.

Tickets include after-hours admission; a misting mocktail or cocktail; a piece of confectionary at each trick-or-treat station, and a free souvenir digital photo. Drinks will be available to buy.
Tickets will be available only from the venue website or from the visitor services team on 0800 640 4550, and will be limited to a maximum of nine per purchase.
