TAKE That star Gary Barlow has launched a major new talent competition, during which he will mentor finalists to find singers and musicians for shows on board a luxury cruise ship.
The Talent of Tomorrow competition will culminate in the intimate surrounds of the late-night 710 Club on P&O Cruise Line’s flagship Iona – with a cruise up for grabs for the winner.

Barlow is Musical Director of the shipboard venue, which showcases up and coming new singers on both Iona and in its counterpart on board big sister ship Arvia.
He has performed his own solo show on P&O ships in the past, and will play more charity gigs at sea, in the Mediterranean and on a Canary Islands sailing, in September and October this year.

Aspiring performers need to record a YouTube video, singing solo and playing an instrument with no backing track. The song can be an original or a cover, but must have been recorded no earlier than June 1, 2024.
Ten performers will be chosen to audition on August 31, 2024 before a panel of independent experts who will decide on a final three. And that’s when Barlow steps up to the mark.

The Take That frontman will spend a day with finalists in The 710 Club on board Iona, mentoring them as they hone their performance, which will then be filmed to go to a public vote. He’s no stranger to this, having been a mentor on TV’s The X Factor.
Whoever is voted the winner will get to bring a guest for a holiday of at least seven nights on board Arvia or Iona, exploring destinations by day and taking to The 710 Club’s stage at night to thrill audiences in a series of gigs.
