HOW do you soundtrack your travels? As we count down to the 66th annual Grammy Awards this Sunday, data crunchers have been mapping the music we listen to most across the world.
And the results, presented in a Top 20 chart and a series of maps, are fascinating, showing how different regions have different tastes in music. Top of the chart is Miley Cyrus, whose Flowers has been streamed on Spotify 1.65 BILLION times in the last 12 months.

The team at CasinoGuardian analysed streaming data between January 2023 and January 2024 covering 72 countries to discover what we’ve all been listening to the most over the past year.

Miley may be the main attraction overall but Kill Bill by SZA has been the top-streamed song in seven countries around the world, topping more territory charts than any other track on the platform.

Other big-hitters include Manuel Turizo’s La Bachata (huge in Latin America); Ditto by South Korean girl group NewJeans; Harry Styles hit As It Was and Taylor Swift’s Cruel Summer.
