WHEN globe-trotting photographer Jack Fisher was looking through shots he has taken across the world, he hit on an ambitious idea – packing 3.5 million photos, taken over ten years, into a FOUR-MINUTE video.
And it is, in a word, spectacular. Titled Sequences, it’s a time-lapse compilation that travels the globe. Take a break from whatever you’re doing, take a look, and you’ll see what I mean.
Jack, who has worked with Stella McCartney, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Luke Jerram and big name commercial clients such as Land Rover, is no stranger to travel.

He shoots for a production company that makes movies for the Ultra Music Festival series, which stages giant gigs all over the world, and also works with several tourist boards.

“I recently found out I’ve spent 24,250 minutes in the air in the last couple of years – or 7.5 times around the sun – and that’s only with one airline!” he laughs.

“I called the film Sequences because I try to create stories in my timelapse photography. I love trying to seamlessly link multiple shots together and display a city or event in a unique and entertaining manner over a series of different shots.”

The many shots used in the film were captured on Jack’s trusty Canon 5D Mark IV camera. Each scene is made up of hundreds of thousands of shutter clicks.
