STONE me! Artists from all round the UK will gather in Bridlington next month to make the most of Mother Nature – and it’ll be beach to their own as they put on a remarkable seaside show.
The town’s famous – and aptly named – Land Sand Stone Art Festival returns on September 9 and 10, inviting artists to work entirely with natural, recycled and up-cycled materials.

It’s a weekend-long celebration of the town’s coastline and connection to nature, organised by Responsible Fishing UK in association with Visit East Yorkshire.
Expected to take part are James Brunt, Julia Brooklyn, Sean Corcoran, James Craig Page, Jon Foreman, Mark Antony Haden Ford, Tim Pugh, Richard Shilling, Laurence Winram and more.

Saturday’s showcase will be sited on Bridlington’s North Beach, and will also include a family art challenge and an attempt to create a giant spiral artwork.
On Sunday the action moves to Sewerby Hall & Gardens, for a land art trail, willow work, leaf art, talks, book signings and question and answer sessions with the artists.

Responsible Fishing UK is a small arts organisation that creates temporary artworks and engages with people through schools, festivals and community-based arts projects.
From creating seemingly impossible stone balance sculptures to huge beach drawings , the group passionately believes everyone deserves to have creativity in their lives.
