WANTED: three people to spend a week under the midnight sun in the scenic splendour of Norway. That’s the offer from the good folk at the national tourism bureau.

Visit Norway is looking for three intrepid travellers to join what it dubs ‘The Timeless Society’ this June to experience what it means to live life with 24-hour sunlight.

Once there, the fortunate trio will live with three locals and make the most of the endless summer nights, hiking, fishing, swimming and kayaking – or just chilling out in good company.

They’ll be expected to produce short videos and make the most of social media to document their experience, so if you’re the shy, retiring sort, it may not be for you. But it’s a great offer.

In Northern Norway, the sun never sets between May and July, and the local hosts – Inga Maria Beddari, Andreas Jogi Arild and Rowan Romeyn – have the local knowledge to make the best of it.
