THE songs of chart A-lister Ed Sheeran are going to be all at sea – in a new show tracing the singer-songwriter’s stellar rise from busker to arena headliner.
Song Book – Ed Sheeran: Celebrating the life of Ed Sheeran has been specially created for new MSC Cruises ship Euribia, which is due to be named on June 8 in Copenhagen.
Sheeran started out as a street busker and the show will fittingly follow the ship’s own team of buskers as they journey to stardom.
Guests can expect “re-imagined arrangements, commercial choreography, acrobatic dance, living statues and hand balance artists” accompanied by a playlist of Sheeran’s hits.
It is one of seven new theatre shows to be offered on board, including what is being described as “the largest big band” at sea performing in the ship’s revamped Carousel Lounge.
Euribia, which enters service in June from Kiel in Germany and Copenhagen, will also stage shows including circus, rock music, jukebox live, variety and guest entertainers.
