THEME park giant Alton Towers has revealed the opening date for its much anticipated scare ride The Curse at Alton Manor – and it’s coming up fast for thrill-seeking fright fans.

The eerie new dark ride will open on March 18 and, although details are being kept secret for now, park chiefs promise that it will both “frighten and excite” youngsters and adults alike.

Said to be the park’s most immersive ride yet, the storyline will involve the Manor’s sinister past, taking riders “on a hair-raising journey through the spectacular twists and turns of the Manor.”

A spooky stunt preview on London’s Isle of Dogs made headlines when a pop-up haunted doll’s house appeared overnight, culminating in the first sighting of demonic Emily Alton.

In a video released by the theme park, she can be heard laughing and counting in the doll’s house, amid sinister scrawled messages and a giant mangled teddy that chases people out.
