YOU know that sinking feeling you get when you’re on holiday and the telltale buzz of your smartphone heralds the rival of yet another unwanted email from the office?
You’re away on holiday, for goodness’ sake.

The clue is in the word ‘holiday’ or perhaps ‘vacation’ depending where you come from. The boss really should know better. So should some of your colleagues.

Well, now there’s an answer from those wonderfully inventive folks at Visit Iceland, whose track record for brilliantly bonkers travel ad campaigns is peerless.

Get a horse to do the hard work, and trot out a response far better than that automated ‘out of office’ message.

Take a look at the ‘Outhorse your Email’ video so you won’t be saddled with the irksome task of having to reply to them all.
You can even chose which one of three horses you want to answer your email. Chestnut Lila Stjarna Fra Hvitarholti “types fast but might take a nap” for example.

Meanwhile, white horse Hrímnir Frá Hvammi is “assertive and efficient”. Brown Hekla Frá Þorkellshóli is “friendly” and “trained in corporate buzzwords”.

Then you can just relax and drink in the remarkable sights, sounds and scenery that Iceland has to offer.

It’s a great campaign from the team who dreamed up classic commercials including the Icelandverse, the hardest karaoke song in the world, and ‘Let it out’ scream therapy all of which you can watch here.
