Cruise ship to offer first submarine escape room adventure at sea

DIVE! Dive! Dive! New supership Arvia is to offer P&O Cruises first escape room experience – on a ‘submarine’.

Exclusive to Arvia, Mission Control is a multi-sensory escape room set underwater on board a fictional submarine named Arvia II, with a series of challenging, mind stimulating live-action puzzles.

The “expedition” is led by fictional Dr Ryan and has multiple storylines, suitable for all ages, with a film-like plot of twists and turns including motion simulation.

P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow says: “Holidays are all about new experiences and the immersive escape room will create unforgettable action-packed moments with family and friends.

“Mission Control will expand our on board entertainment offering even further, giving guests an opportunity to create unique bonding experiences they will talk about for years to come.”

Arvia’s maiden 14-night Canary Islands cruise, sailing from Southampton on December 9, 2022, costs from £1,449 a head, based on an inside cabin, and including kids’ clubs, full board meals and entertainment.

Departing from and returning to Southampton. ports of call are Madeira, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Cadiz and Lisbon.
