STRICTLY star Robin Windsor is to lead dance classes on a paradise Caribbean island this summer, stepping out with sun-seeking tourists.
The pro dancer tripped the light fantastic under the glitterball for five seasons from 2010, dancing with Patsy Kensit, EastEnders legend Anita Dobson, Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley, and Dragons Den’s Deborah Meaden.
Now, he has signed up with The BodyHoliday on the sunshine island of St Lucia, where he will offer daily dance-themed fitness classes and a Latin dance night once a week.
The former Latin and Ballroom world champion will be the star attraction at the all-inclusive wellness resort on the North coast of the island during September, passing on pro tips and advice.
Dancing has many health benefits, from building muscle strength and tone to improving cardiovascular health and managing weight.
It also boosts mindfulness to combat stress and burnout, something which is all too commonplace, especially over the last 18 months.
Following his own struggles with depression, Robin has also developed a motivational speaking programme, and guests at BodyHoliday St Lucia will benefit from these insights, too.
It’s all part of a “September Solos” season aimed at attracting single guests, who will have access to leading practitioners and a personalised daily schedule to offer all the elements of wellness to support wellbeing.
Say resort bosses: “A thoughtfully created and convivial events programme will also allow plenty of time to connect with like-minded solo travellers, resulting in a memorable experience that is both fun and reinvigorating.”
BodyHoliday St Lucia’s mantra, dating all the way back to its LeSport days, has long been “Give us your body for a week and we’ll give you back your mind”.
Luxurious rooms, daily spa treatments, fitness classes and a choice of land and watersports are among a long list of lockdown remedies.
The package includes an exclusive whale and dolphin watching trip, with snorkelling at St Lucia’s famous Pitons, a hosted cocktail party and dinner, the daily spa schedule, and all water and land sports, including tuition.
Also included are unlimited premium branded beers, spirits and wine, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, fun sports sessions and group fitness classes. Rooms start from £282 per person all-inclusive. The September Solos season runs from August 30 to September 24.
