HERE’S a first look at Disney’s shiny new Moana hotel rooms with decor, artwork and furnishings inspired by the hit movie.
Opening in Disney’s Polynesian Resort Village at Walt Disney World in Orlando this summer, the message is ‘You’re Welcome’.
Newly reimagined guest rooms at the resort feature a new colour palette inspired by the Pacific Ocean and its many islands.
Guests will find details, patterns and textures from the hit family favourite film, and characters from the story.
“The colourful patterns found throughout the room bring a whole new energy to the space, evoking undulating ocean waves and tropical flowers,” says Disney. “You’ll also see all-new furnishings and fixtures.
“In the bathrooms, for instance, Disney Imagineers took inspiration from the sandy ocean floor for the tiles and carved details in the vanity units.”
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is now accepting bookings for late July 2021, when there’ll be more changes on show.
The porte cochere of the Great Ceremonial House is in the midst of an overhaul that will feature a high-pitched, open-truss roof covered in a thatch style with pops of colour.
Above, the Monorail station is receiving new wooden screens in tropical colours, adding to the open and airy vibe.
