CRUISE guests on luxury yacht Scenic Eclipse are being offered a unique underwater experience – exploring ‘The Aquarium of the World’ in the vessel’s own submarine.

A new 12-day itinerary takes guests on a journey of discovery exploring the pristine beaches, green mangrove forests and volcanic islands of the Sea of Cortez, but that’s just for starters.

Because the yacht’s seven-person submarine, Scenic Neptune, takes them down below the waves, with crystal-clear waters opening up a remarkable window on the marine world below.

With seats mounted on revolving platforms, guests can swivel 280 degrees to watch through the two large, ultra-clear acrylic spheres of the submarine as it glides above coral reefs and ruins.

Scenic Neptune is a U-Boat Worx Cruise Submarine 7 capable of diving up to a depth of 300 metres, with spacious seating for up to six guests, plus the pilot, and was custom-built for optimal sightseeing.

Departing from Loreto in Mexico, the cruise will sail the Sea of Cortez, which is embraced by Baja California and Mexico’s mainland. 

Guests can explore untouched islands in this vibrant archipelago, kayak along the rugged coastlines and snorkel in the warm sea in search of unique marine life.

The calm waters also present the perfect opportunity to kayak and stand-up paddle board or make the most of the on board submarine, which launches from the yacht.

With just 228 passengers on board, the all-suite yacht sets the bar high in the luxury market, and also boasts two state-of-the-art helicopters.

There are up to 10 dining options, indoor and outdoor plunge pools and a 1:1 guest-to-staff ratio with a butler service for all guests.

Prices for the 12-day itinerary start from £8,260 per person departing on April 15, 2023. The price includes return flights from the UK, transfers, suite accommodation, dining, premium beverages and exclusive shore excursions including zodiac cruising and kayaking.

Submarine dives are at an additional cost and are subject to availability, weight restrictions, medical approval and weather conditions.
