LONDON’S luxury Lanesborough hotel has joined the Bridgerton bandwagon with a special package allowing fans of the Netflix smash to “revel in Regency splendour” once travel gets back to a new normal.
It’s the latest in a series of initiatives building on the success of the bodice-ripper romance which has broken records to become the streaming service’s biggest-ever original hit, and has been green-lighted for a second season.
But The Lanesborough, with a reputation as one of the world’s grand hotels, is taking things to new levels with butler service and a chauffeur to whisk guests off on bespoke tours taking in Bridgerton filming locations.
“Act as nobility for a night with a package designed to bring the Bridgerton fantasy to life,” hotel bosses say.
“Spend the night in one of our exquisite Regency-style rooms or suites, and enjoy an indulgent breakfast served in bed.
“Dedicated butler service means not having to lift a finger, beyond promenading around London at leisure and savouring a delicious afternoon tea served in Hyde Park or back at the hotel.
“Our chauffeur will whisk you off to make the fantasy a reality, by visiting Bridgerton’s real life filming locations around the city, for ‘You are a Bridgerton, there is nothing you cannot do’.”
The package includes a complimentary English breakfast in bed served by your personal butler, and traditional British Afternoon Tea for two or a picnic in Hyde Park, plus a historical tour of The Lanesborough.
There’s a chauffeur driven Mercedes-Benz S Class visit to the Bridgerton House (Rangers House Greenwich) and Queen Charlotte’s Palace (Lancaster House), and a walking tour map of London’s finest regency landmarks.
To that, you can add complimentary services included in all guestrooms, including access to The Lanesborough Club & Spa, a dedicated 24-hour butler service, daily fresh fruit and water and free wi-fi and movies.
To ensure you look your best, there’s complimentary pressing on arrival (it’s one outfit per person), and for bragging rights, personalised business cards and stationery.
Set in Knightsbridge, with panoramic views of Hyde Park, The Lanesborough – managed by the Oetker Collection – has a legacy dating back to 1719, and boasts the Michelin-starred Céleste restaurant.
Guests have included Madonna, Cher, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Mariah Carey, and Stanley Kubrick used The Royal Suite to shoot Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman in Eyes Wide Shut.
And here’s a claim to fame you might not expect: Stevie Wonder has played on The Library Bar’s piano.
Prices for the Live Like A Bridgerton package are from £456 per person in a Superior Room or £596 per person in a Junior Suite like that pictured above. See the dedicated Live Like A Bridgerton page here for terms and conditions and Covid advice.
