IT is the new ocean-going superyacht that will float anyone’s boat. Emerald Azzurra is making a splash as it’s floated out for the first time.
The newest addition to the Emerald Yacht Cruises fleet has just made her debut at The Halong Shipbuilding Company in Vietnam.
She’ll be welcoming paying passengers from January 2022 and the emphasis will be on luxury, with 50 deluxe suites and staterooms for just 100 guests.
Eighty-eight percent of cabins boast a balcony, and the yacht has an onboard wellness centre including spa, gym and sauna.
As well as having access to small ports and harbours that large ships cannot reach, guests will have the opportunity to taste local flavours and cocktails whilst taking in the views from one of the three different bars and restaurants.
Want to jump ship? There are three tenders and a Zodiac for shore landings, plus a marina platform to allow easy access to snorkelling, paddle boarding or swimming.
Glen Moroney, founder and chairman of The Scenic Group – Emerald’s parent company – says: “We are incredibly excited to see Emerald Azzurra successfully enter the water as the next stage of her build, the completion of the interior, commences.
“Once again, Emerald Cruises is looking to the future and building a game-changing vessel at a time when small-ship experiences are gaining in popularity. We can’t wait for past river cruise guests and new customers alike to join us on board our very own ocean-going yacht in 2022.”
Emerald Azzurra is the first custom-built ocean superyacht launched by Emerald Cruises, and will set sail on January 28, 2022 on an eight-day Best of the Red Sea itinerary.
The cruise starts from £3,625 per person for an Oceanview Stateroom, or guests can take advantage of Super Earlybird savings (for bookings made before December 24, 2020) on a Balcony Stateroom from £3,837 per person.
Prices include return flights, transfers, the cruises as stated, all tipping and gratuities, and all onboard meals, as well as included excursions and experiences with knowledgeable local guides.
For peace of mind in these uncertain times, there’s also a complimentary deposit protection plan and the reassurance of a flexible booking policy.
